Not letting my kids ask “why” sounds like the exact opposite of what every homeschool mom says. And guess what? Me too❗️I will encourage every “why” I can handle. I will teach them, learn with them, or find a way for them to learn. What I do NOT allow is questioning me in the moment. This includes dangerous situations, urgent moments, or talking back. However, I am not an authoritarian parent, I am a an intentional parent. I have built relationships with my kids of mutual trust. This makes it where when we are working cows, trying to meet a deadline, or completing their chores, they trust that I have their best interest in mind. I can also trust that they are going to handle their responsibilities. How do I know they are going to handle their responsibilities? Because of all the times I let them ask why when it was appropriate. Then I was able to teach them proactively, time lines, and responsibility to the family!Follow for more on intentional parenting and grab my book 📕 too!Comment “kids” and I’ll send you the link!#parentingishard #intentionalparenting #homesteadkids #homesteadhomeschool #homesteadmama | Homestead Education
